Something really wild is going on here. I think maybe we did something terrible when we went to the lake that night. It's been 5 months and there are strange things happening to people in town. Three babies have been kidnapped. Cortney's sister's baby was one of them. They babies are just disappearing without a trace. The only thing the investigators found was a wet spot on the carpet beside the crib in 2 of the 3 instances. They're not entirely sure about the 3rd one. The mom is a drunk and was passed out on the couch. She didn't realize the baby was missing until almost noon the next day. She has hardwood floors in the baby's room too. Cortney's family is a mess. Cortney keeps saying we woke that woman up and now she's getting revenge on us. I started researching the house and the history of the woman. Her maiden name was Lyon. Her family was some kind of political figures over in England. She came from money and married into money. She married the youngest McKinley son. They had tried to have a baby but lost each one to a miscarriage late in the pregnancy. I guess I can understand her being so distraught when her baby was kidnapped. But why kidnap other kids now? Those families didn't steal her baby. I know we should tell someone about what we did. What if we really did wake her up? Who would believe us though? A priest?
